No rest...

Saturday is supposed to be our day off......right! We are pulled in multiple directions today, with no end in sight! Still managed to run, though! You know how it is when you are obsessed with running....you'll get your run in!
Just did a 30 minute easy run. Finished week with 22+ miles. I plan on a slight increase in D next week. Hope you are having a great weekend! Peace!

T-Storms and a Pre-me?

Spring thunderstorms are popping up all over! Believe it or not I had great difficulty getting my 30 in today! I had to wait for a storm to get by, then I received a call from a person that considers me their Pastor but lives out of town and she'd given birth to her son but she was only 25 weeks along! She really wanted me to come see her and pray with her so I did. The baby weights 1.9lbs and is 13 inches long. I got to go in and see the baby. Amazing! They gave little Matthew a 1 in 20 chance of making it and so far he is doing well!
I got home...the phone rang.....then I finally got out the door....another t-storm moving in....so I ran up and down the lane in case the lightning and rain started...I made it!!!! 30 minutes!
I don't want to get to excited but my foot is feeling great! Peace!!

Mark Be Nimble

Today we had the annual Church wide garage sale. That means my Sweetheart and I worked all yesterday and today setting up, moving, selling, talking, you name it we did it! We are tired! There happened to be a very nice bike in the sale. I couldn't resist taking the bike for a spin. I was really moving, weaving and darting through the parking lot. I could of passed for Flash Gordon, or so I thought. Suddenly a car moves!!! I have to slam on the hand brakes, oops, hit the front one...head over heels goes the Pastor! Very embarrassing, as the entire sale comes to a stop and looks my way. But up like a shot I jumped, after I untangled myself, acting like I was no worse for the wear....some bleeding but nothing I didn't experience as a kid. Now I want a bike!
Came home, rested, looked at your blogs, got motivated, thanks Kara, and went out for a 4 miler. First mile warm up then three in the aerobic range with a 9:45 best.
This is the best mileage week I've had since the marathon, 25.73. I look forward to running into the forest Monday. My new secret place awaits! Peace!

Busy,busy,busy
Not too busy to post, though. This week is one of those weeks where any down time to be had is going to be at a premium. My schedule is packed full until Friday.
Running this week will require discipline and diligence. I will have to fit it in at times I normally don't like to train, and under circumstances that are not of my choosing. Yes, it's all about me!
But the one thing I know...I am able to run!! This is a blessing so often overlooked. Yes I am able! I have this day! Being busy is not all bad..it means I am able, I am active, I am productive.
I believe the best days are ahead. I am still working on my training schedule. I have chosen a goal time for the half marathon in March: a 1:50.00. That would be 8:23's.
I am currently thinking and trying to create a plan that will enable me to achieve this goal and maintain the balance. Well I must hit it now or be stressed!
