Super Wind

Man do we have storms a'comin'. Over the years you can see the signs and they are evident. Super windy, humid, and the earth is thirsty! I expect severe storms tonight. Batten down the hatches! I managed a 3.2 miler rushed! I had a meeting with the City of Ozark Planning and Zoning folks today as our Church makes plans for a new facility. Wow! Talk about red tape and too much government! No wonder our country is going down the tubes! Oh well, what can you do? Be nice and work it out.... Hope you are well! Peace!

Yes I live in the Ozarks and I must say I love it here! Some of the aspects of Ozarkian life are very interesting. I am somewhat of an anomaly out here in the boondocks. One road, two directions, not lots of choices for running, extreme familiarity, and the lone runner! Some of the folk look at me funny!? (Run faster, I hear banjo music) Today I heard one of the natives coming up behind me, I heard the four wheeler, this is the main mode of transport out here btw. I decided I'd be ornery, I decided to race him! It was fun!!! He said something unintelligible and then I lost the race! A beautiful day today!!! 3.5 miles in, too! Peace!

Garmin woes

Funny how you get attached to the Garmin. For some reason mine decided to act up? First time that really I've had a problem. Couldn't get it to charge up? Well all is now well and it's charging, finally! So I had to guess at distance but not time...34 minutes, felt good! I was even thinking about pushing the pace! Maybe tomorrow! It is really looking beautiful out here, the Dogwood trees are in full bloom! I sure love the idea of Summer coming up!:) Peace!

Pluggin' along

Didn't feel too good today yet I still ran 32 minutes. Probably just fatigue. I will hit the rack early tonight and expect to continue my program of every day running except Sunday. Reason being is I just get too worn out on Sundays and a run is not realistic according to my schedule.
We received over an inch of rain and you ought to see my trees!! Woo Hoo! They are taking off! One has already put on 5 inches of new growth. It is stacking up to be a great growing year. It's really exciting to be alive during these times. We will see some amazing and incredible changes in how we live in the next few years. I'm really considering taking up gardening, but just considering!!:) That's a lot of work....maybe when I retire? 32 minutes today! Peace!

Straight to Summer!!

You know I love Summer! Today it's hot!! Up in the eighties! I did some Spring cleaning, garage...then we mowed the yard, took a hike in the forest and ran for 32 minutes. I finished my fourth week of running everyday except Sunday! My feet are tired! Gonna watch the race and good to bed! Peace!

Another day

Nothin' special just another 32 minutes. This is my fourth week of running every day except Sunday. I think things are going good. I'd like to start adding miles but I want to wait until my body catches up, needs some healing! Just a little soreness but nothing major. Fact is, I am blessed! I am hoping to break 20,000 lifetime miles this year.
  Have a great day!! Peace!

I have managed to run every day. I am thankful the weather is warming.....stupid hvac system broke down again! What a pain! I just finished paying out the nose to replace a part now another one bites the dust! O well, it's only money! I've learned in life "if it ain't one thing it's another!" Peace!!

(C)old again...

Oh how I long for Summer!!! Waaaa!!! I'm getting tired of the wind, rain, and cold! It's back today! I still stuck to my guns and began my streak again. I have run every day except for Sunday for 3 weeks now. Feelin' good, belt is up a notch, hope to begin adding D in the near future. It would be good to race again! 31 minutes 3.1 miles...Peace!
